Tachyon DNS
Tachyon DNS supports standard protocols (UDP/TCP) and secure encryption protocols (DoT and DoH). Every DNS query handled by the Tachyon Engine is resolved through this module.
To ensure the fastest response, Tachyon queries all configured DNS servers in parallel and adopts the first available result. Additionally, Tachyon DNS supports non-standard ports (beyond the typical 53, 853, or 443), which is particularly useful for testing custom DNS server configurations.
Host Mapping
Host Mapping provides an advanced alternative to the traditional /etc/hosts file, offering more flexible and powerful features:
- "*.ipv4.tachyon": ipv4(1.1.1.1)
- "*.ipv6.tachyon": ipv6(::1)
- "*.domain.tachyon": domain(example.com)
- "*.nameserver.tachyon": nameserver(dot://dns.google)
- ipv4/ipv6: Maps a domain directly to a specific IP address (standard static host). This supports wildcards (e.g., *.google.com).
- domain: Forwards a domain to another domain, also supporting wildcards.
- nameserver: Forces a domain to be resolved via a specific upstream DNS server, also supporting wildcards.
